    Q & A.
Question: Since reading the books by Tony Parsons my search seems to be over.
The last step before that was reading channelled messages about the new energy and the light body and so forth and attending a "school of consciousness of the new time" via scripts and cd`s of channeled messages of ascended masters, angels and, and, and..... The "mind" seems to be very tricky in holding me in the play. And there is nothing wrong with that, because it's just oneness appearing in so many different shapes.
Nevertheless I'd like to ask you whether you could say something about this whole theme out of clarity.
Answer: There is only IT appearing as everything; only Oneness appearing AS diversity. Channeling ascended masters, considering light bodies, tasting apple sauce and seeing flying saucers are all appearances with no independent existence. They are in fact nothing but temporal patterns in the current of life.
Look at the screen, rather then to the flickering images that appear on it. What is pointed to here is the mirror of Awareness, rather then the reflections in it. The images in the mirror can not be brushed away, nor can they be taken hold of. They are both there and not there, and their apparent presence or absence does not affect the mirror in any way.
It is fine to be fascinated by the content of the mirror and it is fine to be fascinated by the stories of ascending masters and light beings. They are as real or unreal as any other appearance, including the seeming person fascinated by such ideas.

    Getting rid of the ego
The first thing to understand when you say, "What can I do about getting rid of the ego?" is that the answer is "Nothing," because you're asking the wrong question. You're asking, "How can I, thinking of myself as an ego, get rid of thinking of myself as an ego?" Well, obviously you can't. Now, you say, "Well then, it's hopeless." It isn't hopeless. You haven't got the message, that's all.
If you find out that your ego feeling, your will and all that jazz, cannot get rid of that hallucination, you've found out something very important. In finding out that you can't do anything about it, you have found out that you don't exist. That is to say, you as an ego, you don't exist - so obviously you can't do anything about it. So you find you can't really control your thoughts, your feelings, your emotions, all the processes going on inside you and outside you that are happenings. There's nothing you can do about it.
So then, what follows? Well, there's only one thing that follows: You watch what's going on. You see, feel, this whole thing happening and then suddenly you find, to your amazement, that you perfectly well get up, walk over to the table, pick up a glass of milk and drink it. There's nothing standing in your way of doing that. You can still act, you can still move, you can still go on in a rational way, but you've suddenly discovered that you're not what you thought you were. You're not this ego, pushing and shoving things from inside a bag of skin.
You feel yourself now in a new way as the whole world, which includes your body and everything that you experience, going along. It's intelligent. Trust it.

    Awakened Poetry

Mundaka Upanishad
It is pure consciousness: which lights
up all appearances that come
and go in our experience.

All space, all time, all difference,
all change are known by consciousness.
Thus space and time and difference
and change cannot apply to it.

It is the undivided base
from which divided space is known,
the unity in difference,
the changeless continuity
which knows all change and passing time.

It?s always here, in every one of us,
each moment that we know;
whatever we may seem to know,
whatever it may seem we do not know,
or only know in part.

Upon this base of consciousness,
all objects are perceived and thus
are manifested in the world.

In consciousness, all seeming things
arise, exist and come to end.

Beneath gross things of outer sense,
beneath all subtleties of mind,
it is creation?s changeless source:

from which all seeming things come forth,
on which each seeming thing depends,
to which each thing returns again.

    Quote of the moment!

As thou reviewest the world with thy perfect intelligence and compassion,
it must seem to thee like a dream of which it cannot be said:
it is permanent or it is destructible,
for being and non-being do not apply to it.

The Stone Cutter
(Or: More Is Not Enough!)
There was once a stone cutter who was dissatisfied with himself and with his position in life.
One day he passed a wealthy merchant's house. Through the open gateway, he saw many fine possessions and important visitors. "How powerful that merchant must be!" thought the stone cutter. He became very envious and wished that he could be like the merchant.
To his great surprise, he suddenly became the merchant, enjoying more luxuries and power than he had ever imagined, but envied and detested by those less wealthy than himself. Soon a high official passed by, carried in a sedan chair, accompanied by attendants and escorted by soldiers beating gongs. Everyone, no matter how wealthy, had to bow low before the procession. "How powerful that official is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a high official!"
Then he became the high official, carried everywhere in his embroidered sedan chair, feared and hated by the people all around. It was a hot summer day, so the official felt very uncomfortable in the sticky sedan chair. He looked up at the sun. It shone proudly in the sky, unaffected by his presence. "How powerful the sun is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the sun!"
Then he became the sun, shining fiercely down on everyone, scorching the fields, cursed by the farmers and laborers. But a huge black cloud moved between him and the earth, so that his light could no longer shine on everything below. "How powerful that storm cloud is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a cloud!"
Then he became the cloud, flooding the fields and villages, shouted at by everyone. But soon he found that he was being pushed away by some great force, and realized that it was the wind. "How powerful it is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be the wind!"
Then he became the wind, blowing tiles off the roofs of houses, uprooting trees, feared and hated by all below him. But after a while, he ran up against something that would not move, no matter how forcefully he blew against it - a huge, towering rock. "How powerful that rock is!" he thought. "I wish that I could be a rock!"
Then he became the rock, more powerful than anything else on earth. But as he stood there, he heard the sound of a hammer pounding a chisel into the hard surface, and felt himself being changed. "What could be more powerful than I, the rock?" he thought.
He looked down and saw far below him the figure of a stone cutter.
